Prairie Debut is a Canadian classical and world music touring network that focuses on bringing the highest artistic standard of artists to communities in Western Canada.  These touring activities develop the artists’ careers and strengthen their national profile.

Through our 21 years, Prairie Debut has supported some of Canada’s best emerging and established musicians by providing performance opportunities, exposure and experience and connecting them with thousands of people across the Prairies.  While on tour, Prairie Debut artists perform full length concerts and also provide music education to school students and various outreach activities.

With Prairie Debut, the communities have access to artists of excellent calibre.  In doing so, Prairie Debut contributes to the quality of life in the communities it serves.

Since our first tour in 1997, Prairie Debut has taken 142 artists on 54 tours to 80 communities throughout the Prairie Provinces and Yukon.  With over 600 concerts, Prairie Debut has had an incredible impact on Western Canada’s arts community.
