Our Mission

¿Quién Soy Yo?  or in English, “Who Am I” ministries reaches out in love to those who struggle with addictions on the streets of Granada, Nicaragua. When God came to Moses in the wilderness, Moses did not believe he could be used by God. He said: “Who am I Lord that I should lead anyone?”. Yet God used him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. Moses life was a gift from God.

Our purpose is to teach those who are addicted to drugs and alcohol, that God has a purpose for their lives, and like Moses, every life is valuable and useful; they too are a gift from God.

¿Quién Soy Yo? is a non-denominational ministry that reaches out to people who suffer from addictions on the street of Granada. Through street contact, weekly support ministry, and individualized counselling the ministry team shares the good news of Jesus Christ and his power to help them overcome a life controlled by substance abuse and self-destructive behavior. Through dialogue, personal care, life skills training and loving support, the ministry has reached and lifted people out of their addictions and into a new faith-filled walk with Christ. Their new walk has allowed many people to restore their families, build new careers and experience spiritual and emotional fulfillment.

Many who have been reached by this ministry are now part of helping and bringing others into Christ’s word and care.

Vision

Our vision is to raise up this ministry through a growing body of prayer in Canada and Nicaragua, and to increase the capacity of the mission to reach those most in need in Granada. With prayer and financial resources, we will broaden the scope and capacity of the ministry, to reach more people, help each one more effectively and ultimately to establish a treatment center able to provide comprehensive spiritual, emotional and physical care to those seeking to escape addictions and find a new life through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Who we Are

This ministry is the work of a missionary family in Granada, Nicaragua and is sponsored in Canada and funded through Heron Park Baptist Church and a group of other churches and individuals who see it at God’s hand at work.
