À propos

The BC Wildlife Park is a non-profit charity located in Kamloops, British Columbia, and has been dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned and injured wildlife since 1966. The BC Wildlife Park is home to nearly 200 animals and 65 different species that are native to British Columbia including cougars, bears, arctic wolves, reptiles, birds of prey, and the only Kermode bear in human care in the world. The majority of the animals at the Park have been rescued or were orphaned and are unable to survive on their own in the wild. The BC Wildlife Park is one of the few accredited facilities in Canada by governing body, CAZA (Canadian Accredited Zoos and Aquariums); a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA).

In partnership with the Burrowing Owl Conservation Society, The BC Wildlife Park has been working towards saving the burrowing owls from extinction since 1992, and we are proud to be the largest and most successful breeder, in the world.

The BC Wildlife Park team also operates the Fawcett Family Wildlife Health Centre. As the only full service wildlife rehabilitation centre in the Southern Interior, our health centre accepts between 300-500 animals annually from all over British Columbia.

Our motto is 'Conservation through education', and it is our mission to encourage the appreciation of, and respect for, BC's wildlife; assisting in preserving biodiversity through education, research, captive breeding and rehabilitation services.
