To recruit, train and deploy urban missionaries
About URBAN MISSIONARIES' ASSOCIATION OF CANADA
The Urban Missionaries' Association of Canada (UMAC)is a group of men and women devoted exclusively to recruiting, training and deploying urban missionaries (volunteer, part-time, full-time) in Canada and around the world.
The members come from a variety of churches. UMAC itself has no organizational connections with any one church, denomination or organization.
The Association's members provide training to empower men and women to achieve mastery in outreach to Outsiders. This outreach complements and contributes to the ministry of local congregations.
The outreach strategy promoted by the Association is "target area saturation evangelism". The "target area" is a residential community that can be visited annually. "Saturation" indicates the intention of reaching Every Home Every Year (EHEY) in that community. This offers people residing in the target area multiple opportunities to hear and respond to the Good News.
