About ALZHEIMER SOCIETY OF ELGIN - ST. THOMAS

The Alzheimer Society Elgin - St. Thomas is a not-for-profit health service organization and a registered charity, governed by a

board of directors. The Society was incorporated in 1992 to meet the needs of people with Alzheimer's disease and

other dementias and those who provide care. We do this by providing support, information and education at all

stages of the disease, by funding research and advocating for better dementia care services. The Society is

partially funded by the South West Local Health Integration Network, we depend on the generosity of our partners, our community

donors and volunteers who provide the time, talent and resources that we need to support those dealing with

dementia, and those who love and care for them. Giving has never been easier now that we can accept secure

online donations with the assistance of CanadHelps.org. Donations will go towards our local programs and will help

us to continue to make a difference in the quality of life for people and caregivers in our community affected by

Alzheimer's disease and other dementias.

"The more you know and understand the disease, the more you learn how to deal with it. There is a lot to learn about Alzheimer's disease. The staff are understanding and excellent teachers. They are passionate about educating the public about a very unknown subject."
