Bamfield Marine Sciences Centre is a world-class, not-for-profit teaching and research facility located in traditional territories of the Huu-ay-aht First Nation, on the outer west coast of Vancouver Island, Canada.
Our vision is life-changing exploration and discovery in coastal and marine environments. We offer several accredited university field courses for students, while our Field Trip Program provides over 3000 K-12 students from BC and Alberta annually with a multi-day, immersive, educational experience in nature. We support top researchers from around the world to address grand challenges with fundamental research on biodiversity, fisheries, climate change, invasive species and improving environmental regulations.
Please join us in developing a diverse community of learners and leaders at BMSC. Donations will be used where the need is the greatest and help us provide unparalleled access to the natural and cultural sites where the major scientific questions and challenges of the 21rst century persist.
