About CARC - CANADIAN ARCTIC RESOURCES COMMITTEE INC
CARC is a citizen's organization dedicated to the long term environmental and social well being of the Canadian Arctic and its peoples. The organization was born more than forty years ago as a response to the first Mackenzie Valley pipeline proposal, the Berger Inquiry, and cumulative environmental impact for the Joint Panel Review of the Mackenzie Gas Pipeline.
CARC is currently focused on protecting caribou, advocating for strong and full environmental reviews on development and policies that ensure the environment, wildlife and the health of communities are sustained and thriving.
CARC supporters include more than 5,000 people from every province, the Northwest Territories and the territories of Nunavut and the Yukon, and from many other countries. Our policy and advocacy work is grounded in solid scientific and socioeconomic research and experience.
