Now in its 33rd year, the Clarington Concert Band is a dedicated volunteer community ensemble and serves as the principal wind band in the Clarington area. Established in 1992, the band proudly upholds a 177-year tradition of town band music that dates back to Bowmanville’s first documented concert in 1848. Recognized by a resolution passed by the Clarington City Council on December 7, 2009, the band holds the esteemed title of Official Town Band of Clarington.
**Who We Are**
Our 35-member ensemble consists of a diverse group of brass, woodwind, and percussion musicians, ranging from enthusiastic amateurs to seasoned professionals, all hailing from Durham Region and beyond. We take pride in performing a wide-ranging repertoire that includes:
