The Gabriola Songs Society(GSS) is the official non-profit for the Gabriola Theatre Centre(GTC). The purposes of the society are to: advance the public's appreciation of the arts by presenting high-quality artistic performances, producing presentations, motion pictures and performance art(s) events, and by providing a forum for qualified artists to exhibit, present, or perform their artistic works through participation in such events, on Gabriola Island. To advance the public’s appreciation of the arts by providing free and low-cost performances for audiences that may not be able to attend regular performances and; to undertake activities ancillary and incidental to the attainment of the above charitable purposes.

At the GTC we believe in creating community through the magic of live performances, we have a Theatre Presenting Series from October to June each year and hold the Gabriola Theatre Festival in August. We host many community events that draw people of all ages together from children, youth, adults and seniors on our rural gulf island.  We are grateful to the Snuneymuxw People who have been caretakers of this land since time immemorial and draw from the wisdom of the land as we bring .people together to share in a communal heartbeat.
