The other day, as I was walking in my neighbourhood, I reflected on the world we live in. I found myself thinking of the many problems we face and I suddenly felt overwhelmed. It was hard to figure out where to start.

Then I thought of Girls Action’s L Project, a leadership training for young women like me, who want to make change in their communities and in the world, but just need a few tools to take action.

The L Project is not a typical leadership training. Leadership at Girls Action is understood as a grassroots, bottom-up leadership. It’s a leadership that is accessible to young women from all backgrounds and with diverse life stories.

The training will span over three days in a rustic retreat in Quebec. Over twenty young women from every corner of the country will gather to learn, to problem-solve, and to envision communities where girls and young women can not only thrive, but soar!

The L Project is a unique opportunity, and young women should be able to attend regardless of their geographic location or means. In order to help Girls Action bring as many young women from underserved and remote communities, we ask you to make a financial contribution to our L Project campaign.
