L.I.B. International has been working at a steady pace for 10 years to bring value and make a positive impact on as many lives as possible in India and Vietnam, through existing programs like our India Learning Centre and Fair Trade Coop Groups. Our learning centre has grown from 33 children and one teacher, to 55 children and two teachers. We also create practical opportunities aligned to local culture – for example, our community learning and sewing centre in India engages local resources and people in community specific programs. The results benefit both young children and women through potential income generation, improved quality of life, and personal/professional development. We’ve also been developing new partnerships to support our vision to launch community development initiatives in Africa in the coming year.

In order for us to achieve the potential of change we know we can achieve, we need the funds to drive them forward. To date, L.I.B. is a volunteer run registered charity of Canada and donations are mainly used for program development. Fundraising initiatives like this one are created to save administration expenses associated with hosting a large event. We want money to flow directly to our cause – program development; not event related costs.
