Sardis Doorway is a support program for high risk mothers of young children in Chilliwack BC.
These families are considered high risk because of the affects of abuse, addictions, mental illness, lack of education, lack of opportunities or because they are parenting alone and unsupported.
This weekly program offers physical, emotional, intellectual and spiritual support to both mother and child as they walk towards health and self reliance.
Sardis Doorway has 1 paid Program Director and over 60 volunteers who work in the kitchen, with the mothers or children or serve on the Board of Directors.
Sardis Doorway also offers the When Love Hurts groups to women in Chilliwack who are survivors of domestic violence or abuse. These groups provide a network of support, information and healing to the women as they move from the abuse and the chaos it brings to a place of self reliance and health.
