South Columbia Search and Rescue (SCSAR) is a not-for-profit, volunteer organization registered with Emergency Management British Columba (EMBC). We can be activated by the RCMP, BC Ambulance Service, Fire Rescue Service, the BC Coroner Service, or any local/regional Emergency Operations Center.
Our team members are unpaid professionals on call 24 hours per day, 365 days per year, at no cost to the subjects we rescue.
SCSAR provides emergency services in the areas of Trail, Montrose, Fruitvale, Salmo, and Pend O'relle, as well as Kootenay and Bombi Passes.
