The Squamish Food Hub at Under One Roof, provides safe, dignified and secure access to nutritious food for all in times of need by offering ongoing food distribution.

The Squamish Food Bank and Squamish Helping Hands joined forces in September 2020 to create the Under One Roof community food hub. UOR gives us a shared and centralized location from which to provide all our food services to the community.

THE NEW AND IMPROVED SQUAMISH FOOD BANK!

The Squamish Food Bank, also known as The Market, is a non-profit, volunteer-run, food sharing organization. We are a pay-what-you-can grocery store, and have transitioned away from the typical narrative of a "food bank", flipping the script on what food access and equity have to look like. We are open 3 days a week to the pubic and 1 day per week to residents living onsite. We have food programs running all week long, from youth hamper programs to hamper deliveries. 

Our mission is to operate a low-waste community food hub where food is rescued, repurposed and shared. Our focus is to create a safe and dignified grocery-store style shopping experience for all. Everyone has the right to healthy food, and there is enough healthy food for everyone. We serve almost 400 community members on a monthly basis, over close to 1,000 visits. Our community is made up of a diverse group of folks, from all walks of life, who come together in this space, and feel comfortable doing so.
