To provide community information and referral, and volunteer services for all community members.
About ST ALBERT COMMUNITY INFORMATION AND VOLUNTEER CENTRE
Since 1979 the CIVC has provided community information and volunteer services to all community members. The CIVC connects people with the information and community services they need.
As a Community Information Centre, we can provide contact information for more than 400 programs and services offered by St. Albert organizations. Through links with Regional and Provincial Partners we also provide connections to thousands more programs and services in Alberta.
As a Volunteer Centre, we know volunteerism is vital to a healthy community. CIVC staff recognize that all services must be provided in a non-exploitive way that respects every individual’s dignity while matching them with agencies and organizations that will benefit from their contribution.
The Sidekicks Mentoring program matches community volunteers to school-aged children between six and 16. The goal is to provide these youths with positive mentors and role models to be their friends.
