George Herman House's mission is to provide supportive, transitional housing to women diagnosed with mental illness. Our program supports women to live a more self-directed, independent and stable life.
About THE GEORGE HERMAN MEMORIAL FOUNDATION
George Herman House is a safe, diverse, and supportive environment that promotes healthy and productive living. Our program is designed to combat the isolation of a mental health diagnosis and improve the quality of women's lives through self empowerment. Self knowledge and self responsibility are key steps in building a life of healthy independence. We encourage our residents to learn the value of making choices that contribute to their stability and well being. Working from a holistic approach, we support and promote taking responsibility for one’s health on all levels with a strong emphasis on nutrition, life skills and self care.
