About Our Charity

We aim to provide people with Learning Disabilities, their parents, educators, and other professionals, with resources to alleviate the everyday difficulties of living with LDs and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Currently, 10% of Canadians are affected by LDs, which include a variety of disorders that directly impairs a person’s ability and capacity to take in, retain, and process information. Those living with LDs often struggle with reading, writing, focus, attention, daily activities, and social relationships. Research indicates a strong relationship between undetected and untreated early symptoms of LDs and criminal behaviour, drug use, increased teen pregnancies, mental health issues, and chronic under employment.

We do not receive any government funding. We raise funds to support and improve our services, such as assistive technology training, psycho-educational services, advocacy training, support groups, one-to-one services and our resource library.
