2013 Lac-Mégantic Train Derailment

A derailed train carrying crude oil caused explosions and a devastating fire in downtown Lac-Mégantic. Thirteen people have been confirmed dead and 40 possibly missing. At least 30 buildings were destroyed in the centre of town, including the town’s library, pharmacy, and other businesses and houses.
