Registering with CanadaHelps

Registering your charity with CanadaHelps is quick and easy.

Before you register your charity with CanadaHelps, you should:

Decide who will be the contact person for your CanadaHelps account. This should be someone who deals with your donations (not your a tech person).
Read the CanadaHelps Client Agreement. Click here to view a copy online.
Choose up to 3 search categories for your listing on CanadaHelps. Download the list of search categories here (PDF document).
Gather your banking information including a void cheque to register for EFT deposits. Make sure your banking document is official and has your charity's name and full banking information printed on it.

Registering your charity with CanadaHelps is easy. Here are the steps:

Click on Register Your Charity.
Complete the online form and accept the terms of the CanadaHelps agreement.
Submit banking information for disbursement of donations by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). You will download the Banking Information Form at the end of the registration process.
CanadaHelps will review your registration and create your MyCharity account.

Remember! Registrations are reviewed and processed on Mondays only.
