About AVA
Action Volunteers for Animals (AVA) is a non-profit, volunteer only, no kill, charitable organization dedicated to improving the lives of stray and feral cats and companion animals. AVA began in 1972 and became a registered charity in 1981.
Our Goals
- Stop pet overpopulation and reduce euthanasia through spay and neuter programs
- Provide homes to tame and stray cats through adoption
- Control feral cat colonies by spaying and neutering and organized feeding programs
- Educate people about Trap-Neuter-Return-Monitor (TNRM), and encourage them to become actively involved
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and municipalities to reduce euthanasia through humane programs, education and adoption.
