Baraka is a young vibrant charity founded in 2006 in the UK, by British and Canadian friends. In 2013 we received status from CRA as an official Canadian charitable society. The main ethos of our charity is to assist people and communities in developing countries achieve long term self-sufficiency, ensuring a sustainable future. We are heavily biased towards education, though we work on various community issues such as healthcare, income generating schemes, and environment protection.
Currently, Baraka Canada supports projects in Zambia working in the healthcare field. We work closely in partnership with Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, BC, which sends us a team of volunteer Doctors and nurses every two years to Zambia. 100% of any donations we receive goes directly to our projects.
