Baraka is a small charity that works with impoverished communities and schools in Africa and Asia.
Baraka is a vibrant charity founded in 2007 in the UK, by British and Canadian friends. In 2013 we received status from CRA as an official Canadian charitable society. The main ethos of our charity is to provide educational opportunities for children who are losing out due to poverty. Though we are heavily biased towards education we also support healthcare initiatives and some water and sanitation programs.
Currently, Baraka Canada supports projects in Zambia working in the education and healthcare fields. We sponsor children to school or college; we support a girl's safe house and we run medical volunteer trips every two years. 100% of any donations we receive goes directly to our projects.
