Our Mission
Founded in 1982 (incorporated in 1984) with the conviction that living transcultural artistic experiences contribute to the betterment of humankind, OBORO is an artist center that encourages innovation and seeks to contribute to a culture of peace. OBORO's more specific mandate is to support artists – including Indigenous artists and artists from cultural diversity – to encourage the exchange of ideas and the sharing of knowledge.
