Canadian Mental Health Association - Covid 19 Response

The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is causing a lot of fear and anxiety in the general population.

While the focus is rightly on physical health and safety during the outbreak, mental health is equally important.

As an organization that has been around since 1918, the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is the go-to place for community-level mental health programs, services and supports in over 330 locations across all provinces and one territory.

CMHA is making sure Canadians have access to Mental Health support by:

  • Working relentlessly at Government relations/advocacy work to ensure that mental health is at the forefront during this pandemic
  • Virtualizing programs and services at the local level
  • Upcoming Mental Health Week – May 4th to 10th – to get Canadians talking about how we really feel instead of our stock answer of ‘I am fine, thank you’.

We are doing everything we can to ensure our programs and supports stay widely available —and grow to meet the growing demands of this evolving pandemic.

We can’t do this alone. Please consider making a donation to support local mental health programs. Now, more than ever, we need our community to help us address the crisis we are facing today. We are #StrongerTogether.
