CanadaHelps is growing! Meet our first-ever Western Canada Charity Engagement Specialist.

Alistair Jackson At CanadaHelps, the charities we serve are always at the front of our minds. We exist to help charities, in particular small and medium-sized charities who need our affordable online fundraising tools the most.

As a charity ourselves, we have a unique perspective on building tools that are not only easy-to-use but also useful. Over the past 16 years, we have found that the best way to learn about the needs of our charity partners is to work with and serve them as directly and personally as we can. Our Charity Engagement team, Paul Nazareth and Jacob O’Connor, work with thousands of charities across the country. At CanadaHelps, we have a strong desire to better serve our charities in Western Canada. And, our team is growing to do just that!

We are so excited to welcome Alistair Jackson to the CanadaHelps team as our new Charity Engagement Specialist for Western Canada. Alistair will work closely with our charity partners, as well as the broader community of sector stakeholders in his home Province of British Columbia, as well as charities in Alberta.

Alistair joins us after a successful 15-year career in healthcare software technology. In roles such as VP Sales, Marketing and Business Development, Alistair became a renowned expert and author, helping doctors relinquish paper charts and adopt electronic records. Prior to his career in health IT, Alistair was an educator who taught and led in several of British Columbia’s public and independent schools. He has also been deeply involved in charitable endeavours for many years, serving in missions work overseas in his youth and, more recently, by participating in the Ride to Conquer Cancer and other long-distance charity rides. Alistair is now looking forward to working with the many and diverse CanadaHelps charities as they seek support to grow their capacity for impact and grow our Canadian culture of philanthropy.
