About our Affordable Fees

CanadaHelps is a charity and social enterprise with a mission to provide small to medium sized charities with online fundraising solutions that are low-cost, easy-to-use and secure. That’s why we only charge a transaction fee with no other registration costs or monthly fees.

The majority of the fee we charge covers the payment processing costs we are charged by banks, credit card companies, and brokerage firms. The remainder is re-invested into the CanadaHelps platform. This allows us to provide you with industry-leading security and build more fundraising tools to help you accomplish your mission. The transaction fee is deducted from the donation before being disbursed to your charity and covers all aspects of processing the transaction, including the credit card merchant rate, credit card transaction charge, reconciliation, receipting and disbursement-related costs.


Notes:
1 Proof that you represent the charity is required to complete registration. In addition, for a Full Fundraising Account, access to Customizable Donation Forms, Peer-to-Peer Social Fundraising and Ticketed Events after CanadaHelps receives and validates your void cheque and banking form.

2 3% fee applies to donations less than $10,000; 2.5% fee applies to donations between $10,000-$49,999; 2.25% fee applies to donations between $50,000-$99,999; 2% fee applies to donations $100,000+.
