As part of our mission as a registered charity and social enterprise, CanadaHelps is a passionate member and advocate for Canada’s charitable sector, and our dedicated staff reflect that passion. That is why today, we are excited to announce our newest Charity Engagement Specialist, Krista Stewart.

Dedicating her life to creating social change, Krista is a passionate member of Canada’s charitable sector. Recently completing her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from York University’s Schulich School of Business specializing in social sector management and marketing, Krista received her Bachelor in Social Work with honours from Ottawa’s Carleton University in 2011. Since then, Krista has worked at the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer and at United Way Halifax as a Relationship and Development Officer.

As a volunteer, Krista has given her time to variety of causes including Youth Challenge International, Cuso International, Operation Come Home, Feeding Others of Dartmouth, The Club Inclusion, Scotiabank AIDS Walk for Life, Ovarian Cancer Canada, The Take Action Society, and the Women in Leadership group at the Schulich School of Business. Krista’s desire to make a difference began during her childhood while canvassing her neighbourhood alongside her mom in support of charity. Needless to say, Krista’s desire for making a difference is deeply rooted in her everyday life.

Originally from Canada’s east coast, Krista is now working with Paul Nazareth, Jacob O’Connor, and Meghan Cobb on our Charity Engagement team and is excited to connect with charities in Ontario specifically the Greater Toronto Area.
