ServiceOntario Launches New Online Resource that Helps Not-for-Profits Start, Operate and Grow their Organizations

ServiceOntario has launched a new section for not-for-profits in Ontario making it faster and easier for organizations to get the services and information they need to start, operate and grow their NFPs. The new site features information on government open call programs for funding, ideas on how to start and manage a not-for-profit organization, a section to help organizations understand the laws that affect the sector, research about the sector, government initiatives that support the sector, and much more.

This bilingual one-stop shop comprises 600+ distinct pages providing guidance on how to start and manage your not-for-profit or charitable organization. NFPs can get information about the laws and regulations that apply to them. The site also includes the first Ontario wide Funding Directory that lists Ontario government grant opportunities. Research about the sector can be found as well as the different Ontario government programs that support the sector.

Question re by-laws of a charitable not for profits Ontario Corporation
When the original constitutional by-law is amended, could you please confirm if it is necessary to submit the amendment to the ministry for approval before it is in effect. Changes made either by By-law amendment or resolution of members at AGM/members meeting.
