CanadaHelps: Security A Part of Our Organizational DNA

CanadaHelps Implements Extended Validation Certificate

Screen Shot 2014-11-13 at 9.54.31 AMSince day one, CanadaHelps has worked hard to earn the trust of the donors and charities we serve.  For over 14 years we’ve maintained a spotless record for safe and secure charitable donation processing and instant tax receipting. We’ve achieved this by building security into our organizational DNA. Simply put, ensuring the security of your data is at the core of everything we do.  Our processes and technology have allowed us to consistently maintain the highest level in PCI-compliance (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards).  While most of the steps we take to uphold our security promise are not obvious to the Canadians and charities that use our site, today we’re pleased to announce that CanadaHelps has implemented an Extended Validation Certificate.

By implementing an Extended Validation Certificate, Canadians who visit CanadaHelps.org can now more easily identify that our site uses encryption technology to ensure the privacy and security of the data they share when using our site.  This added layer of trust is communicated in the green shaded box that appear immediately before the page address URL and indicates that CanadaHelps has passed the rigorous independent audit required to obtain the Extended Validation Certificate.
