Make It Monthly Terms and Conditions
*Make It Monthly 2023 $20 Offer is valid for new scheduled monthly donations of a minimum of $20 per month beginning March 1st, 2023 at 12:01 AM Newfoundland Standard Time (NST) to March 31st, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST). CanadaHelps will donate to a participating charity an additional $20 for each new monthly donation of $20 or more that is made to the same charity via CanadaHelps at least three times before June 2, 2023, to a maximum aggregate amount of donations from CanadaHelps to all participating charities of $50,000 CAD. In order for a donation to be eligible (each an “Eligible Donation”),: (a) the first monthly donation pursuant to the newly scheduled monthly donation must be processed no later than April 1st, 2023 and must remain a scheduled monthly donation through to at least June 2, 2023 with three monthly donations of at least $20 each having been made pursuant to the scheduled monthly donation prior to June 2, 2023 and (b) the scheduled monthly donation must be made via CanadaHelps.org or UniteforChange.com and monthly donations to charities via CanadaHelps’ Peer-to-Peer Fundraising tool or Custom Donation Forms on charity partner websites.
A donation will not be an Eligible Donation if the donation is made by any donor who had an active monthly donation that existed prior to February 28, 2023 and creates a new monthly donation for the same charity in March 2023. A donation will not be an Eligible Donation if the donation is made by any donor who has previously scheduled an Eligible Donation to the same charity as part of a separate series of monthly donations to that charity. A donation will not be an Eligible Donation if it is made after the $50,000 aggregate cap on CanadaHelps’ donations is reached. Donors will receive a tax receipt for their monthly donations through CanadaHelps on an annual basis, or otherwise via their CanadaHelps accounts. Donations are not Eligible Donations if they are made at charity events, gifts processed using the CanadaHelps DMS, API donations, donations of securities, donations made directly to CanadaHelps, and the purchase and redemption of Charity Gift Cards.
CanadaHelps reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to end, suspend, reinstate or amend this promotion, in whole or in part, at any time without prior notice and for any reason whatsoever. All decisions by CanadaHelps with respect to all aspects of this promotion will be final and binding in all respects. In the event of any dispute regarding the interpretation of these terms and conditions or any decision rendered by CanadaHelps, the decision or interpretation of CanadaHelps will prevail. CanadaHelps is not responsible for any technical problems, malfunctions of any telephone lines, computer systems, servers, providers, hardware/software, lost or unavailable network connections or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission or any combination thereof. CanadaHelps is not responsible for any liability for damage to any computer system resulting from participation in or accessing the websites referred to herein, making any donations or downloading information in connection with this promotion. CanadaHelps does not assume responsibility of any nature whatsoever in cases where the inability to hold this promotion results from any event beyond the reasonable control of CanadaHelps, including without limitation, any act of God, any strike, lock-out or other labour conflict, war, act of terror, or should a virus, worm, bug or other cause beyond the reasonable control of the CanadaHelps corrupt the security, data integrity, or proper administration of this promotion. This promotion is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and is void outside Canada or where prohibited by law. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these terms and conditions, or the rights and obligations of entrants and CanadaHelps in connection with this promotion, governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions. Each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, this promotion will be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the courts of the Province of Ontario.
