Celebrate #GivingTuesdayCA with Timeraiser!

This post was provided by Noorin Ladhani, Marketing and Communications Lead at Framework, as part of our GivingTuesday series.

Framework (the organization that hosts Timeraiser) is proud to announce our participation in GivingTuesday Canada. Timeraiser is celebrating the opening day of the giving season with our very own Timeraiser-themed volunteer matching event on December 2nd. This event is being hosted at our office and is free to the public.

First time hearing about Timeraiser?

Timeraiser connects skilled volunteers with nonprofits in their community and raises volunteer hours by asking people to bid volunteer time on artwork. To date, Timeraiser participants have completed 162,000 volunteer hours and our program has facilitated 1,768 volunteer matches.

Our event will feature a panel of Timeraiser art winners and nonprofits sharing their volunteer journey and overall perspective on the volunteer culture in Toronto. We will also be auctioning off a piece of artwork by Timeraiser artist Adam Colangelo. Our goal is to raise 100 volunteer hours and connect individuals looking for volunteer opportunities with nonprofits in their community.

This GivingTuesday we encourage Torontonians (and all Canadians) to participate in GivingTuesday Canada and to make a volunteer commitment to a nonprofit in their community. If you’re looking to make a volunteer connection or just want to celebrate the launch of the giving season in Canada we would love to see you at our event.
