As we celebrate 25 years of igniting generosity, CanadaHelps is thrilled to share our new brand with you. Our refreshed brand identity represents a renewed commitment to supporting Canadian charities. It features a modern look and feel, and incorporates the vibrancy and optimism at the heart of our mission.

CanadaHelps tools, features and services that charities rely on will remain as powerful as ever and our new look and feel simply better reflect who we are now.

New look, same commitment to charities

Change can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. The refreshed CanadaHelps brand is part of our commitment to bringing innovation to the Canadian charitable sector. We encourage charities to explore our new look and learn how the brand update can help you inspire more giving.

What’s new for charities?

  • A fresh look and feel: Updated logo, colours, and design
  • Enhanced design and features: Over the coming months, you’ll see exciting updates to the fundraising tools you know and love, including new ways to connect with supporters and simplify fundraising
  • Renewed dedication to helping charities thrive with affordable, purpose-built tools

What do our new logo and brand colours mean?

Our new logo captures the spirit of generosity. The two crescents meeting symbolize the interconnectedness of donors and charities to spark change in broader society. The new colour scheme maintains the blue of the past, and incorporates the diversity and vibrancy of the nonprofit sector with a broadened colour palette that features a new purple hue.

CanadaHelps brand progression from 2000 to 2025

After 25 years, this change marks our most significant brand evolution since we began.

Why did we change our look?

Last fiscal year, we decided to reinvest and revitalize the CanadaHelps brand for the first time in over a decade. Our goal was to refresh our look and feel and enter our 2025-2026 year with a cleaner, more cohesive, future-ready brand.

We wanted to leverage our 25 years of trust and brand awareness, and be in a position for success as we move into the next 25 years of CanadaHelps.

Our goal is simple: to ensure our brand feels as connected, inspiring, and impactful as the work Canada’s charities do.

Refreshed CanadaHelps brand: 25 years in the making

The world looked and operated differently 25 years ago. As technology and the needs of the charitable sector evolve, CanadaHelps must evolve alongside them. Let’s take a look back at the milestones of the last 25 years.

2000 – University students Ryan Little, Aaron Pereira and Matthew Choi envisioned a digital platform that made it easy to donate to charities online. The trio joined forces and CanadaHelps was founded. More than $150,000 was donated in the first year.

The CanadaHelps website, when it launched in 2000

2004 – Launched monthly giving, which enabled Canadians to make a monthly commitment to their favourite charities and grow their impact.

2006 – Our Giving Pages, now renamed “Fundraisers” allow people to fundraise for their favourite causes.

2008Enabled donations of securities, providing donors with more flexible giving options

2013 – Co-founded GivingTuesday Canada and introduced peer-to-peer, team-based fundraising campaigns, expanding fundraising capabilities for charities.

2013 – Raised $68 million annually, supporting 12,000 charities with 12 staff members.

2024 – Raised over $483 million in donations, supporting more than 44,000 charities nationwide with over 100 staff members.

2025 – CanadaHelps unveils a new logo and innovative brand look and feel.

For the past 25 years, CanadaHelps has helped thousands of Canadian charities raise crucial funding for vital causes across all three coasts. As we kick off this new chapter, we are fueled by the mission at the heart of our work: to make giving easy and help Canadian charities inspire more generosity

Thank you for creating a more generous Canada. Here’s to 25 years—and to the future we’ll build together.
